Habits & Mindsets
Students reference their teacher's guidance in organization, study habits, character traits, and values. They have internalized these traits beyond just talking about them which has led to personal growth on the part of the student.
Introduction
Teaching my students about taking responsible risks and exploring one's imagination are mindsets that can allow them to grow beyond measure. These mindsets can elevate my student's careers and guide them throughout their journey of life. These two mindsets were chosen because taking responsible risks is vital when living in Baltimore. For instance, there is a lot of crime here and one has to be aware at all times when going through the daily routines of their day in this city. Being creative is an excellent mindset to teach about because that is how new inventions are created, cities are repaired and other endless possibilities.
Using these mindsets, my students have completed various activities and lessons. After learning about these mindsets, students applied those skills in their own lives through projects, discussions, actions, and routines. Moreover, these mindsets have challenge my students to be better students, athletes, artists and most importantly people. Click on the links below to explore the mindset and artifacts from our experience with these mindsets.

I took these two learning targets seriously. To have effective results, I planned, executed and reflected after every activity. Through reflection and feedback from my students, I improved the next activity to meet their needs to effectively ingrain these mindsets into their daily lives.
